The Kirribilli Tea Rooms offer workplace training to people with barriers to employment including lack of formal education, health related issues and disabilities. It provides students with opportunities for training, employment and social interaction in a cafe setting whilst undertaking a qualification (Certificate I Skills for Work and Training). The CafĂ© is a partnership between TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute Outreach, North Sydney Council, Northern Sydney Area Health Service, and the Kirribilli Neighbourhood Centre. It operates 2 days a week in Kirribilli Neighbourhood Centre which is a focal point for the community. It offers an extensive menu at affordable prices and is well patronised by parents attending playgroups, seniors’ groups & local residents.

TAFE Outreach programs are closely aligned to the Federal Social Inclusion Agenda ensuring NSW education is accessible to people who face barriers to learning including geographical and social isolation, language and cultural factors, financial hardship, lack of educational confidence, being unaware of opportunities to learn, a disability or family commitments.
